Happy Birthday GrandMa Dolly & Thank You!!!

GrandMa took a day off to help with Girl Scout Cookie delivery. I went to help sort all the cases for our service unit troops and she watched Kasia and Alisz. Plus we had a Daisy meeting that afternoon! Crazy.

We decided to celebrate her birthday a week early. Kasia and Julianna helped make an icecream cake the night before. A very yummy dessert after a long day of hard work. Thanks to GrandMa for helping out!!!

It's Daisy Day

Girl Scout meetings brings a pile of shoes on the front porch. We do have lots of fun. Loud, noisy - definitely, but stil fun.

UVA Basketball

UVA Girls Basketball had a Girl Scout Day. Julianna had fun, but said she enjoys Hockey games better. Redwings tickets vs. UVA tickets. Which one do you think she'll get to see more often?

Snow?

Another Winter Weather system moved through our area and gave us a small amount of snow. Enough to sled down one of our hills. All of us had a great time and Kasia said she was going to have a talk with God for more thick snow.

C'Ville Weather

Monday was a nice warm day. Kasia and Alisz enjoyed a picnic lunch out on the front porch.

Tuesday brought another Winter Weather System.

Ice Day

Alisz played inside while her big sisters tested the snow/ice. Yes, it was kind of mean to tease her like that, but honestly, I do not think I could have handled all three by myself outside. Especially since it was more ice than snow.


I like how they do not need much acculmulation to enjoy themselves. I also like that they enjoyed hanging out on the front and back porches. I didn't need to stress about running into trees.

Tooth Fairy Express

Julianna lost 4 teeth in seven days! The tooth fairy had a busy week delivering a gold dollar for each tooth.

Shewandowski Wedding

We didn't go to Baltimore over the holidays because we were planning to spend a weekend there in January for Nicole and Matt's wedding. What fun! Friday night was a big pizza dinner with the extended family and friends. Saturday was date time for Jason and I. We both enjoyed catching up with all the GW folks.

Christmas Celebrations

We spent the entire month of December celebrating with various family members who came and visited. Aunt Reenie, Uncle Ralph, Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jerry came at the beginning of the month. The Buyaki grandparents came at the end. Also got to visit with the Skeens' and the Potter grandparents. Lots of neat gifts and many fun memories.

Kasia's Buddies

Kasia has a favorite buddy at preschool. Her and Rebeca love playing together. They mey out on the playground when all the classes go out together.

Her other buddy is Madelyn. Madelyn's mom helps out on Girl Scout meeting days by keeping Kasia at her house. I love how excited they get when they see other.

School Friends

It's fun having playdates. Juls and Ella love hanging out with Ava and Casey. This fall day was sunny and warm. Perfect for hiking on our trails and playing outside.

Fall Fun

It's a lot of fun raking leaves and then playing in them. It took Alisz a little while to get used to the noise of crunching leaves, but then she was having a blast. Especially when we gave her a rake.

It's a hard life at this age. Sooooooo, do you wake sleeping babies???

Halloween Fun

We had a busy Halloween week. Kasia's preschool church threw a Trunk & Treat event. Vehicles were decorated in the parking lot and the kids went around for their candy. They also had face painting, inflatibles, movies, food and crafts. There was more to do than time to do it all.Daddy finally got a little fish.

We also went trick or treating at our friend's neighborhood. Plus we went down to our local fire department who always puts on a carnival night for the kids. So much candy and lots of fun.
