Snow Daze ...

Alisz came out for a photo op and then went back in to sleep in peace.

Finally, snow!!! Thursday morning arrived with NO snow, so Julianna went off to school at 7:30am. By 8:00am it had begun snowing and by 8:30am schools announced they were closing at 10:00am. So, out to clear off the vehicle to drive to the intersector of drives at our place. I had a hard time getting down and up the two hills out of our house. Then left the vehicle at the top of the intersecting drives because I knew there was no way we'd get back up from the bottom of the drive. After waiting at the bus stop for 45 mintues, I came back up to the house and called Jason because the bus still hadn't come. A call to school at 11:15am and we learned buses hadn't departed because they didn't all arrive back to school yet. Jason said he would leave work to go get Juls from school. About 12pm, the bus driver called the house to let me know he'd be at the bottom of the drive in 10 mintues. A call to Jason again and he was at school waiting for Juls to be 'found'. Luckily, we are only a mile from school and he made it to the bottom of the drive before the bus pulled up. 12:30pm all of us were eating a nice warm lunch.

Lesson Learned: When all the surrounding counties close schools for the storm that is coming and ours does not -- we will keep the kids home anyway. What a crazy, stressful morning.

We did manage to have fun after Jason came home for the day. We have great hills for sledding. We're even thinking of clearing out some additional landscaping for next season.

A Saturday Afternoon

Alisz plays as her big sisters zonk out from a hard morning of play.

Gymnastics for Juls

Julianna had a class through My Little Gym since September. Jan. 16th was her last day. Parents & siblings were allowed to go into the gym to take pictures and get a good view of what they have been working on. She has a lot of fun in this class.

Her friend Ella is also in her kindergarten class. They loved running around together.

Kasia was very happy to finally get into the gym and do something herself.

73 degrees in January?

This past week brought warm temperatures to our area. Which was nice from a mommy's viewpoint. Kasia had a couple days of outside play for hours at a time.

The best part of Kasia playing outside is her 'baby' Alisz gets to nap in peace.

Merry Christmas (Round 4)

And finally, our last Holiday stop. New Year's weekend took us on another drive North to Baltimore. We were able to visit with friends over Matt Magitti's one night for games. Plus, see lots of family & friends and Aunt Reenie and Uncle Ralph's holiday party.

Alisz & Alice

Here's Alisz (3 1/2 mos) with her great great Aunt Alice (85 yrs).

Merry Christmas (Round 3)

We hit the road two days before Christmas for the long drive to Michigan. The girls were hoping for snow since we haven't any to talk about here at home. There was enough to stomp around in and make a couple of snowballs. However, the wind was so intense it wasn't much fun being outside. I think they lasted for 10 minutes.

Christmas Eve dinner was at George and Michelle's. Aunt Michelle had a great craft of Gingerbread houses to decorate for all the girls, while the big boys went out shooting.

Kasia put a rose on daddy during his nap and claimed he was now Sleeping Beauty.

Walters Visit

We were able to visit with the Walters Family when we did our Michigan road trip over the holiday. Scott & Sheri with their three kids Chance, Hunter and Scout live close by in Ohio .

Kasia wasn't too crazy about the dogs running around. She's still talking about Tiki licking her hand.

Julianna and Daddy had fun playing more Wii.

And of course Alisz, always had a lap or set of arms waiting to cuddle her.

Hey there Alisz!

Oh my goodness! She is so adorable. And funny. It's a lot of fun having a baby around again.

Merry Christmas (Round 2)

Mommy sent Santa an e-mail asking if he could stop by our house early since we were going to be in Michigan over the holiday. Santa thought that was a great idea! We were able to have our Christmas before packing up for the long drive. Plus, a couple new toys were able to make the trip more interesting.

Juilianna was very happy to see a portable Leapster. No instruction was needed for her to play. Only problem is that Kasia seems to like it as well. Sharing has been difficult at times.

Alisz just sat back and took everything in.

Kasia only asked for two things. The movie being the main thing she just had to have after seeing it in the theater over the summer. This played in the car DVD once on the way up to Michigan and once on the way back. It even made the Baltimore trip too.
