Holiday Newsletter

MERRY CHRISTMAS &
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Our Bigs News for 2006 was that we relocated to the Charlottesville, Virginia area. After eight months of living in separate states during the work week, we sold our house in Baltimore and moved at the end of May. Together once again!

We found a lovely home on a partially, wooded two-acre lot, in the country side. We're at the back of Blue Haven Farm. We often go for walks in the woods and watch the wildlife --- deer, rabbits, squirrels, turtles, lizards and lots of insects. Julianna and Kasia have their own science class right outside their door.

October marked 1 year of Jason working at Gale Force Nine. Check out their website: www.gf9.com. His official title is Director of Terrain Development. And what that really means is he makes all those cool tables and scenery pieces like buildings, forests, castles and more. He has been enjoying his job and the opportunities it has presented to him and our family.

I have been a stay-at-home mom since last October. A full-time job in itself. The girls and I keep ourselves busy with lots of activities, arts & crafts and baking & cooking. I finally finished sorting through the last of the moving boxes (with Jason's help). I am looking forward to getting back into my scrapbooking after the holidays. Lots to catch up on with everything being packed away for so long.

Julianna is a spirited blonde hair, blue eyed 4 year old girl. She doesn't like to get her long hair trimmed, because she thinks she won't be a true Princess anymore. She is a girly, girl who loves pink and pretty things, but will climb a tree outside if you take your eyes off of her for a second. She loves being the Big Sister, playing kids computer games and doing 'projects'. And some days she will talk your ear off from the time she wakes up until she goes to bed.

Kasia is a sweet brown hair, gray eyed 2 year old. She has a really funny personality. If you need a pick-me-up, just go to her and you'll smile from one of her many facial expressions. She's in the "I do myself" stage. Which wouldn't be a bad thing, except she's also in the climbing on counters stage to get what she wants out of the cabinets. She loves to read books and after we've read to her at night, she often gets out of bed to get more books to read by herself. She'll have over ten books on her and her bed when she finally falls alseep. She also can't get enough of Dora and Diego.

We hope this season finds you and your families doing well. We wish you a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful Happy New Year!

Take care. Love, The Buyaki Family

O' Christmas Tree

Dec. 2, 2006
After a special family breakfast at Chick-Fil-A, we went out to find a perfect tree for our house. Julianna liked Chick-Fil-A better than the tree hunting. Kasia thought all the trees were pretty cool.

Mommy's Birthday 11.30

Wallace Family Visit

We were so excited Robyn, Jeff and Rylie came to stay with us for a few days. Since they moved to Rhode Island and we've moved here - it's been awhile. Thank goodness for e-mails and blogs. What a great way to stay in touch!

Juls, Rylie and Kaisa

Kasia loved playing with Rylie. At times she was a little rough, but Rylie seemed to take it in stride.

Thanksgiving Day

We spent the day at two houses. First we went to the Skeens' for an early dinner. Then over the the Standardsville Wallace's for a short bit.

Cousin Rien slept the entire time we were there until right before we left. He wasn't overly thrilled with taking pictures with us.

Julianna's Favorite Place ...

... is at her computer. She will sit and play her games for hours if we let. Daddy can't wait for her to start gaming with him.

Kasia and her Tumbles

We had a two week space of Kasia falling and busting her head open twice. The first time she tripped by the fireplace and bonked the back of her head - not too big a deal. The second mishap she fell running down the gravel driveway and tubled forward - it took six stitches at the ER to fix that one. She has taken to climbing on everything now and one slide down chair left her a rumble strip down her ribcage. She's tough - booboo bear out of the freezer helps everything feel better.

GrandPa and GrandMa Buyaki Visit

Grandpa Emery and Grandma Jean came for a weekend visit in November. We played outside in our big yard and out back with all our toys. We had fun playing with them.

Safari Park Fun Nov. 10th

Aunt Reenie and Uncle Gralph came for a visit in November. It was a lot of fun seeing them. We miss them lots!!!

We went to the Safari Park to see the animals. Kasia loves Giraffes!!! Julianna loved going through the park in the truck and feeding the animals out the windows.

The girls loved posing for pictures in their new cowgirl outfits Aunt Reenie brought for them. Dora boots and purses to match.
